Locking & Unlocking the House
The front door has an electronic lock that will be active with a unique code that is operable at your expected time of arrival. The code will be the last 4 digits of the cell phone number belonging to the person who signed the rental agreement. To activate the lock, place your hand over the screen to “wake it up,” press the two random numbers that appear and then enter your four digit code. You will hear the lock open. The house can be locked from the inside while you are in the house. When you leave, simply wake up the lock as you did previously and press the lock symbol on the keypad. All of the other doors to the house have standard locks. Please be sure they are locked when you depart.
Heating & Air Conditioning
The house is automatically temperature-controlled for your comfort. If you find that you would prefer the temperature to be adjusted, call Bruce at 610-724-4080 and he can change the temperature remotely.
Gas Grills
There is a gas grill available for your convenience on the upper patio. To operate it, open the gas tank knob and activate the controls on the grill to light. It will be ready for cooking in about 10 minutes. After you are finished, please scrape and burn off any residue from the grill and turn off the gas tank. If you should run out of gas, you can take the tank to Tractor Supply on 940 for a fill-up. Please provide us with your receipt and we will reimburse you for the cost.
Trash Removal
Recycling is collected on Friday mornings and general trash is picked up on Monday morning. Please drag the appropriate can to the curbside the night before trash pick up (Thursday and Sunday nights) and when you depart.
The Firepit
Feel free to use the wood that is at the back of the driveway and any sticks found in the woods to build a fire in the fire pit. You will find matchsticks in the kitchen. Please be sure the fire is fully extinguished (with water) before you retire for the evening or leave the house. Guests under 18 are not allowed to start or maintain fires.
